Grace Wing

The Grace Wing at Overtoun is there to reach out to those within our communities with specific needs and provide answers to their circumstances that give hope for their futures and healing for their wounds.Specifically we will be providing care for young women in crisis with a residential facility. We will also provide for the short term care of abused women within our community in support of the current social work programmes. These facilities will house both the women and their children. It is our hope to work alongside local churches and social work to provide continuing support for these women within our communities.

The Grace wing is named in memory of baby Catherine Grace Garrett – 21st June 2001 4:14am-12:32pm

Who can we help?

  •  We can help young women become confident citizens by offering training in life and employability skills.
  • Ex substance addicts and ex offenders, following successful rehabilitation programmes, can consolidate their recovery prior to returning to community.
  • We can offer a safe refuge for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
  • We can offer a placement to young women who are pregnant and would not be able to sustain the pregnancy in their usual environment.
  • Emergency placements may be available

Be committed

  • We just ask that you are motivated to committing to your individual package of support and care
