Hill Family.

Bob and Melissa Hill are both from the Fort Worth/Dallas area of Texas. They grew up about 20 miles apart, attending different high schools, but met through friends, and the rest is history, as they say!  They married at the very old ages of eighteen and nineteen. Melissa graduated from the University of Texas, and Bob graduated from Liberty Bible College with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree. In amongst all this three children were born: Cortney, Esther and Joshua. In 1985, the family moved to Japan, and after living nine years in Japan, moved to Scotland in 1995. Bob and Melissa  are ministers in His Family Church, a local independent church, and Directors in Overtoun House. They have three adult children and seven grandchildren, some of whom live in Scotland and others of whom live in the United States. Upon their arrival in Scotland, Bob and Melissa moved to Granville Street, in the Radnor Park area of Clydebank with two of their then teenage children.  In the year 2000, they began to look for a place that would be quiet and restful, yet near Dumbarton and Clydebank for people to come to come and enjoy a break from the hubbub of life. Through friends and those acquainted with West Dunbartonshire, they discovered Overtoun House.

Haney Family

Ryan and Chris Haney grew up in southwest Wisconsin.  They have two children, Ryan and Cassy.   Their journey began with a short term mission’s trip to Romania and on their return knew they would one day go into ministry oversees.  The first step was to further their education at Bible College.  They moved to Pensacola Florida to attend Brownsville Revival School of Ministry and International School of Ministry.  While attending BRSM and ISOM, they were also involved in children’s ministry, leading home groups and counselling at a crisis pregnancy centre.   Ryan and Chris along with their daughter Cassy moved to Scotland in June 2004 to be a part of the ministries at Overtoun House.  Among their activities includes Kinrick Kids, an after school club that is currently held at two schools in West Dunbartonshire .
